Sometimes I get caught up in focusing on what I don’t have, instead of paying attention and being grateful for everything that I do have.
It’s part of the human experience, especially for driven individuals like myself who are always hungry for more.
With that said, there is no such thing as a good excuse to overlook all the blessings that have been bestowed upon us.
On this day last year, we officially moved into our dream home – the one we will spend decades in ~ raising our beautiful family.
In a very competitive real estate market last year, we got this house through a private sale … the timing of it all was nothing short of magical.
During the last 12 months, we have watched our girls grow into the amazing beings they are and we’ve been gifted with the task of welcoming two more beautiful beings into our family in the form of twins.
I launched and failed a business, and launched two more successful businesses since then. Our main business continues to thrive and we are blessed to be working with clients and partners who are part of our family.
When I look around and feel inadequate because I’m comparing myself to the men and women who have the bigger houses, fancier cars, and what seems to be unlimited money to do whatever they want, whenever they want, I really need to smack myself back into reality.
The life I’m fortunate enough to be living is nothing short of a dream come true and when I stay in alignment and connected to my soul, I know I’m one of the lucky ones.
Is there still work to be done? YES.
Do I still need to protect my family’s future by creating more financial abundance? YES.
But, if I had one day left to live and God asked me if I was happy with who I am, who I’m spending my life with, what I’m doing with my time on this earth, I would answer with an earth shattering Y-E-S.
The moral of the story …
Stop comparing yourself to others, strive for greatness on a daily basis, but most importantly, KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE PRIZE, which is the moment you are experiencing right now.
Yesterday is in the past, there’s nothing you can do about it now.
Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed for any of us.
Today, my friends, today is the greatest gift ~ treat it as such.
I’ll see you on the battlefield.
