A quick lesson in using consistency AND balance to achieve the results you want.

There are 168 hours in a week.

For 165 of those hours, I am consistently on point with my nutrition.

For 3 of those hours, I eat ALL THE THINGS.

Last night that was pasta, chicken parmesan, Stromboli, loaded fries, milk duds, cheesecake, peanut butter eggs, and some cheese curls.

That took place between 6 pm and 9 pm.

Guess what, I woke up this morning and still have my abs and my weight barely changed.

That’s called the power of consistency … my 165 hours of focus win every time.

It’s also called the power of balance … because by giving myself those 3 hours per week to indulge, I’m making sure this is a lifestyle I can maintain for months and even years.

How do you figure out what combination of consistency AND balance will work best for you?

Find someone who gets the results you want to get (fitness, health, relationships, financial, inner peace, etc.) and follow their lead, get mentored by them, or read books.

There’s also this thing called trial and error.

The information is out there, it’s up to you to find it, follow it, and then implement a plan that adheres to consistency AND balance.

No one is going to do the work for you, and without doing the work, you can kiss those results you want goodbye.
